We were hired to design an online gourmet coffee store for Muddy Paw Coffee company. Customers can purchase quality coffee online and at the same time help orphaned animals.

From every pound of coffee sold, Muddy Paw Coffee company donates a percentage of sales to animal rescue organizations. The company cooperates with several animal rescue help centers, each of which were given its own section on the Muddy Paw website. This special page allows visitors to read basic information about the organization and purchase coffee to help support that organization. Basically, it has become a zero upfront fee fundraiser for these rescue organizations.

E-commerce store section is based on a PayPal payment gateway. The decision to use this solution was partially based on the confidence that buyers give to this well known payment system. Oftentimes, visitors are more likely to give their financial information to a proven system than an internal e-commerce application.

The e-commerce system on muddypawcoffee.com, also includes a gift center, where visitors can buy coffee in special containers with gift certificates also available.

Another feature is the Pet Photo Contest – visitors can upload a photo of their pet for voting by users. Then, every month the photo with the highest ranking receives a free coffee gift.
